Walking, cycling, pony trekking, golf, fishing as well as tennis are all available locally. Handily placed in a central location for touring the Dales and the Northern Lakes, the scenic Settle and Carlisle rail link lies a short walk away. A perfect location for a romantic or short break.
Delightfully decorated in a Scandinavian style in each room, the Pump House provides gorgeous accommodation for a couple on 2 floors. ( the Pump House can accommodate babies upto 6 months only).
Downstairs off the hallway is a fully equipped utility room with washer / drier.
The bathroom - downstairs with bath and shower, luxury fluffy towels, bathrobes and toiletries provided.
The downstairs bedroom has all home comforts with luxury feather duvet and a hairdryer.
The upstairs lounge/ kitchen diner enjoys a feature lantern roof, exposed beams and wooden flooring with rugs. The lounge area has sumptuous seating,TV and Video, DVD player, CD player and radio (please bring your own CD, DVD or Video's)
Sunny French windows open up onto views of the river with its wildlife, cricket pitch, church and old bridge.
The kitchen end has a dining table and chairs, fridge freezer, electric cooker, combination oven/ grill/ microwave for your use.

On arrival there is a welcome tray of homemade cupcakes and beverages plus details of places of interest and activities to do near by There are tea, coffee and hot chocolate making facilities in the kitchen, milk supplied. Should you require additional items please contact me prior to arrival.

The pretty, historic market town of Appleby has a delightful range of boutique shops offering crafts, antiques and local specialities. The town hosts an array of historic buildings, including a castle (not open to the public at the moment) and a good range of eating establishments and pubs are all within a 5 minute walk along the river bank.
Within easy driving distance of Appleby are the Northern Lakes - Ullswater being the closest, as are the Pennines and the Scottish Borders. There are local connections to the Settle/ Carlisle railway.
